Riley Winters-Wildlife Research Assistant (larger version)
Hi everyone! My name is Riley Winters and I will be working with the Torngat Wildlife, Plants & Fisheries Secretariat as a Wildlife Research Assistant this summer. I was born and raised here in Goose Bay, Labrador and I am currently attending Memorial University of Newfoundland in St.John's in hopes to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Aboriginal Studies. I am a Nunatsiavut Beneficiary and was raised around the traditional customs of Labrador that include fishing, hunting, etc. I really enjoy the outdoors, especially here at home and I am very excited to grasp a better understanding about Labrador's ecosystems. I will be working on a lot of interesting projects within the next few months and I'm looking forward to spending my summer here at the Torngat Secretariat.
